This sweet little girl was NOT sleepy for her session! But we got to see those beautiful little peepers. It was so fun seeing this family go from bump to birth to baby, and I am so grateful that they came back to me for family sessions in the almond blossoms a few weeks later! Melody is sporting one of my favorite wraps, and if you want to use it for your session, you can, too!

This dear little one has an ADORING big brother and a mama and dad who are just completely in love with him, of course :). He had some loved ones who didn't get to meet him earthside, so we were able to take some photos of him with beautiful memorabilia from loved ones passed. It was a special newborn session, and Im so glad. I had the chance to meet this sweet family.

This sweet little babe came as a bit of a surprise as his mama's water broke four weeks early! Thankfully, the doctor's gave the go-ahead for birth as they waited in the hospital, unsure of how long they could keep him settled in there.
I was so happy to be able to be with their family from maternity, to birth, to newborn, and see the transformation from the beginning.
His big sister loved giving him kisses and hugs, and also loved posing for the camera ;).

In case you are looking for some extra cute swag for your photos, when I come to you, I will bring any of these items that you prefer! Swaddles also help baby to feel calm and cozy, and layering items bring a cozy, sweet element.

As an experienced newborn photographer and twin mom, I know how quickly these little details fade from our memories, and how tired and in-love you are! So I will do my best to capture as many of these sweet little moments as we can.
Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home. No need to trek into the wild with a newborn! I will bring simple swaddles and a Moses basket, if you want, as well as headbands/bows (if you prefer!). We will work around baby's needs and schedule, feeding, diapering, and resting as needed. We will find a well-lit area of your home (usually a nursery, master bedroom, or living room, or all of the above!) Your entire immediate family (plus grandparents!) are invited to attend as we celebrate the wonder that is your new little one.
Newborn sessions are lifestyle, meaning, not a great amount of posing is done. I believe this will help capture your baby as they truly are--with all their cute little stretches, curled up toes and fingers, and adorable scrunches. And you can just relax and cuddle with your little one while I grab photos of you!
I am newborn safety-trained, and by our own life experience, highly understanding of their delicate respiratory systems, and therefore, VERY cautious to make sure they are able to breathe well throughout the session.
THEY ARE ONLY NEWBORN ONCE, AND THESE SWEET, IRREPLACEABLE MOMENTS GO QUICKLY!
Once you know your due date, and are considering scheduling a session, send me a message through the contact form, and I will get back to you within 24 hours. We will chat about any questions you may have, and once you decide to book, I will put you on the calendar for your due date.

2. NOn-REfundable Retainer and Contract
Once you sign your contract and pay your non-refundable retainer, which goes towards the total cost of your session, you are officially official! As stated in step 1, we will absolutely be flexible with your session date, since we really have no idea when baby will make their arrival. But you are officially on the calendar! And I am so excited!! Once baby has made their grand arrival, we will schedule you for a session in your home between 7-14 days after birth.
I will send over a session-prep guide to help you prepare for your newborn photo session. You are free to ask me any questions, send over outfit ideas, or just relax! Whatever you want. I will bring some swaddles, a moses basket, and layering blankets as needed (if you want!), and all you need to provide is outfits for baby and any sentimental things that you want in the photo. I also love to see the rooms where you would like to photograph so that I can get an idea of lighting and hopefully help you through the wardrobe-planning process.
3. Session Prep
On your session day, we will all be well-prepared, and hopefully well-rested (HA! kidding, I know what newborn life is like....twin mom here...). I'll text you beforehand to make sure everyone is at least dressed, and we will take our time getting all the precious angles of baby as well as photos of you and yours together. I'll even help clean up if we need to! Your session will take about two hours, give or take, and I have a very relaxed and safety-based approach, because the most important thing is to maintain a calm, cozy environment for you and yours. I'll try my best not to disturb the cozy cove you should be enjoying!
4. let's shoot!
I will send you 3-5 sneak peaks within 48 hours, because I know how excited everyone is ;). If you signed up for a collection that included a 30-60 second announcement video, I will send that to you within the week. I will send the rest of your photos within three weeks, and once you have access to your gallery, you can download the photos as well as order prints, albums, canvases, and cards that are professional, beautiful, and CONVENIENT!
